What Carrollton Voter Records Show
A personal MVP result and a purchased voter file serve different purposes. MVP may display registration status, assigned precinct, polling place, political districts, sample ballot, and absentee status. The public electronic list has a different inventory set by state law and the order product.

Georgia does not register voters by party. Choosing a party ballot in an open primary may create a participation-history entry, but it does not establish permanent affiliation and never reveals the candidates selected.
Address fields also require care. A residence address describes where the voter is registered, while a mailing address may be different. An election file may expose both unless a confidentiality program applies. Registration date indicates when the record entered the system, not how long a person has lived in Carrollton. Status is an administrative condition that can change after official notices or voter contact. Race and gender appear among the fields described by Carroll County's electronic-list sheet, but they should not be used to guess identity when common names collide. Georgia Voter Record Privacy
O.C.G.A. § 21-2-225 draws the line between public roll data and protected material. Original applications are confidential. The confidentiality split applies to the source material as well as the exported file. The original signed registration application does not become open merely because selected data from it appears in an electronic list. Bank statements submitted under covered registration procedures and other supporting material remain protected. Authorized government agencies may receive certain identifiers solely for identity matching, but that limited exchange does not make the information available for general public redistribution. A request for Carrollton voter records should therefore name the authorized list product, not demand the underlying application packet.
Protected Carrollton Voter Addresses

The county Board of Elections and Registration serves as election superintendent and handles registration and absentee procedures. A voter can submit a written residence change or a new paper application through the office. Online registration or an online change depends on a valid Georgia driver's license or identification card with a signature at the Department of Driver Services; otherwise the paper route remains available. The ordinary registration deadline is 30 days before an election. Board agendas are available before meetings by request or at the meeting, and approved minutes may be requested after approval.
Carrollton Voter Status Changes
An active voter maintains contact by voting, requesting an absentee ballot, signing a petition, or updating an address through an official channel. Five full calendar years without contact can lead to a confirmation notice and inactive status. Inactive does not mean ineligible to vote.
Cancellation cannot rest solely on not voting. After notice, two even-year general-election cycles without response or contact can make a record eligible for removal. Death, a move, a duplicate record, and other lawful grounds follow separate processes. Check MVP, respond to official mail, and ask the county to correct errors.
A confirmation notice is part of that maintenance process. Voting, requesting an absentee ballot, signing a petition, updating an address through the Department of Driver Services, or contacting the local office can establish ongoing contact. The National Voter Registration Act prevents removal merely because a person skipped elections. This distinction matters when reading a list: inactive is not cancelled, and neither status establishes that the voter moved from Carrollton. The county registrar is the right source for the reason attached to a specific personal record.
Verify Carrollton Identity Carefully

Participation Is Not Ballot Choice

The electronic list may include the date last voted, but it excludes birth date, phone number, Social Security number, and driver's-license number. A Carrollton-only request should name the municipality expressly rather than assume that a Carroll County order will be narrowed automatically.
